Kronstadtilaisten vierailu Iihin maaliskuussa 2006
Maaliskuun viimeisellä viikolla kouluumme tuli viikon vastavierailulle 12 oppilaan ja kahden opettajan ryhmä kronstadtilaisesta ystävyyskoulustamme. Osa vieraista oli toiminut keväällä 2005 majoittajina meidän koulumme oppilaille, osa oli uusia tuttavuuksia. Oppilaat asuivat täälläkin perheissä ja saivat siten tutustua myös suomalaisten ystäviensä kotiväkeen.
Viikon aikana vieraat tutustuivat suomalaisen koulun arkeen ja suomalaisnuorten vapaa-ajan viettoon, ohjelmassa oli tietenkin myös tutustumiskäyntejä Ouluun.
Yhtenä teemana oli yhteisen kotisivun teko ja tässä muutamia otteita suomalais-venäläisparien työstä. Koska suomalaismajoittajat osaavat kaikki vain hieman venäjää, eivätkä venäläiset vieraamme osanneet suomea, otettiin työkieleksi englanti. Vierailun aikana sovittiin myös uudesta vierailusta Iistä Kronstadtiin ensi vuoden toukokuussa. Silloin matkalle lähtee uusia, innokkaita venäjän harrastajia Valtarin koulusta ja Iin lukiosta.

Diary1: Friends from Kronshtadt: 1 week in Ii!
Day 1(Monday): The Russians: We came from Kronshtadt by buss for 16 hours. It took 2 hours to cross the border but after that we saw many beautiful places. We were very tired after the trip. We were here at Ii about 23.00 Monday evening (or night). First we settled in to familys and then we went to bed. -zzzzzzzzzz.
Day 2(Tuesday): The school started at 10.00 and first we had a little tour at school. We were surprised to see such a beautiful school. At 10.45 we went eating and then we had geography leaded by geography and biology teacher Markku Välitalo. At geography we watched a picture show and after that we had a quiz.
At 13 we went shopping to Ii. In evening we came to school and had sports competitions. We played floorball, ultimate fresbee and volleyball. After that it was time to zzzzzzz again.
Day 3(Wednesday): At morning we had musical-theatrical lessons leaded by music teacher Merja Liehu. It was very fun! At 12 we went by buss to Oulu. First we went to a science centre Tietomaa. It was very interesting. After that we went eating to the pizza buffet called Golden Rax. Then we had spare time to shop and spend our moneysJ! It was fun! About 20.00 almost all had left to home and so did we. Again -zzzzzz!
Day 4(Thursday): First we had lesson at computer class and quess what; we wrote this! Then we had a sports afternoon at Kauppila. There we played football and drank warm juice. We spent evening at families.
Day 5(Friday): The day just started and we continued this diaryJ. Today were going to spend the evening at school making food and having fun. After that some will go to a disco at Oulu and some will go to a snowmobile ride.
Day 6(Saturday): The Russians will leave early at the morning. Bye bye!
Diary 2: One week together with our Russian friends
Monday:
Our friends came late at night after long difficult trip. They were tired and excited about meeting us.
Tuesday:
We came to school at 10 a.m. Our principle Taisto Soininen shown the school and Russian friends liked it. Then they attended geography lesson. Markku Välitalo presented us his photos with Finnish landscapes and animals. Our teacher divided the class into small groups and we had a competition.
After the lessons we went to show our foreign friends Ii village. During our trip we saw Ii church, library, shop and were drinking coffee.
In the evening we came back to school and played games. For example innebandy, ultimate and volleyball. Our friends had never played innebandy and ultimate before. They had fun and enjoyed playing Finish games. After that we went home and spent time in families.
Wednesday:
In the morning we went to school and played different games with music teacher Merja Liehu. It was very interesting.
After the lessons we went to Tietomaa by bus. We saw there the film called Bugs and then went eating. After we had eaten, we went shopping in small groups. They bought clothes and presents for their relatives and friends.
Thursday:
In the morning we came to school and started writing this letter.
After that we went to dining room and ate lunch. Our Russian friends and we went to Kauppila because we had a sport day. Next some Russian and Finnish went to Oulu shopping.
Friday:
In the morning we finished our computer project. After that we went to the English lesson. Then we had 4 free hours and some of us went in the local shop to buy some food for the trip. At 4 p.m. we came back to school and started cooking: Segment potatoes, meatballs, fruit soup and chocolate cake.
In the evening some of us and our friends went to disco and had fun.
Saturday:
Our new Russian friends left Finland and went home. This week was so short...
Diary 3: A week in Ii together, friends from Kronstadt
Anna and Tiia: Before Russian people came we were looking so forward to see them.
Ulya and Masha: We had a very difficult and hard trip but we were very excited to see our Finnish friends.
Monday:
Russian people came to Ii at 23.00. They were really tired but their first impression about Finland and families was good.
Tuesday:
In the morning Masha and Tiia went to running very early and all of us ate breakfast and went to school. At school our headmaster made a presentation about our school.
In the evening we played floorball, ultimate and volleyball.
All were very tired and we went to sleep very early.
Wednesday:
In the morning our Russian friends' first lesson was theatre and they took many funny photos with music instruments.
After that was eating and then we went to Oulu by bus. We visited in Tietomaa.
and we went to shopping and after that we ate pizza (it was really tasty). In the evening most of us watched a TV programme about Kronstadt and Grozniy. Then we went to sleep.
Thursday:
We were writing a diary about our week together and we had a sport day. In the afternoon we went to Oulu because our Russian friends wanted to buy some souveniers.
Friday:
First two lessons we were writing our diary. Then we had a lunch and after that our Russian friends had an English lesson. After school we went to the market and Russian boy and girls bought some food to their trip in the bus back to Russia. At the evening we were cooking and we had some fun. And later we went to the disco. It was so cool! YEAH!
Saturday:
We were really tired thanks for our disco. But still our Russian friends had to leave really early, at seven a.m. We are really sad but we are sure we are going to meet again. BYE!
Diary 4: One week together with our Russian friends
27.3. Monday evening:
We were at school waiting for our Russian friends. When they came, we all were very tired and also a bit nervous. First our guests were given their host families. At home we went soon to sleep because we had to wake up early in the morning.
28.3. Tuesday:
We woke up early and then we went to school, where our principal showed our guests places of the school and they visited some lessons.
We had geography lesson, where we saw beautiful photos of Finland and we played a game as competition. In the evening we played different sport games like floor ball and volley ball. We had fun together!
29.3. Wednesday:
Our guests had an interesting lesson in drama class.
At 11. a.m. we ate at school and after we had eaten we went to Oulu by bus. There we went to science centre and did some shopping.
We ate in Rax and someone of us wanted to do some shopping more.
30.3. Thursday:
We had computer lesson and we wrote week with our Russian friends. In the afternoon we had sport games (like foot ball in ice) in Kauppila. Then some of us went to Oulu again.
After that our guests went to the host families and went to sleep.
31.3. Friday:
We had computer lesson again and after that our guests had an English lesson. Then we went to eat.
In afternoon we went to shops to buy food for our guests for their trip to home. In the evening we had a party together with our guests and families. After that some of us went to disco and the rest to ride snow mobiles. Late in the night we went to sleep.
1.4. Saturday:
Early in the morning our guests had to go home unfortunately. We were so sad. :(
